The highly anticipated Broadway revival of The Music Man has announced an open casting call for the role of Winthrop Paroo, leading lady Marian's shy younger brother whose excitement in joining Harold Hill's band moves his older sister. Telsey + Company, who will hold the audition, asks that boys from 7-10 years old and under 4'6" apply. Auditions for the role will be held on February 16 from 12:00pm-2:45pm.
The Broadway revival of The Music Man will star Tony winners Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster as Harold Hill and Marian Paroo. The production reunites the Tony-winning team behind the smash Broadway revival of Hello, Dolly!—Scott Rudin produces with four-time Tony winner Jerry Zaks as director and Tony winner Warren Carlyle as choreographer. The supporting cast includes Marie Mullen as Mrs. Paroo, Jefferson Mays as Mayor Shinn, Jayne Houdyshell as Eulalie Mackecknie Shinn and Shuler Hensley as Marcellus Washburn. Previews are scheduled to begin on September 9 ahead of an October 15 opening night at the Winter Garden Theatre.
